Infection Control
At Signature Smiles Studio, we work hard to provide a clean, safe, comfortable, and relaxing environment. We use the highest levels of protection to help prevent the spread of airborne illnesses and surface bacteria. Before entering any of the private exam rooms, all surfaces, including the dental chair, dental light, drawer handles, countertops, and armrests, are cleaned and disinfected. We equip all of our treatment rooms with air purifiers to help accost the spread of airborne diseases, so you can breathe easily when receiving treatment. Here are a few other measures we take to ensure both the health of our patients and team:
Isolite Intra-Oral Protection System
The aerosols created by high-speed handpicks, ultrasonic scalers, and other dental instruments not only spray particles of water but also bacteria, viruses, blood, and saliva. The Isolite System works by isolating certain teeth in areas of the mouth so that Dr. Spaulding and the dental hygienists can control the amount of outward spray and work without obstruction.
HEPA Filters
High-efficiency air particle (HEPA) filters reliably remove airborne contaminants. These highly effective filters are made of randomly arranged glass fibers that can capture droplets, aerosols, and particles of bacteria and viruses to prevent the spread of airborne viruses.
ADS Extraoral Medical Grade Suction Filtration System
Our medical-grade suction system is designed to remove droplets and aerosols effectively and filter potentially toxic vapors and microbiological contaminants away from immediate breathing rooms and spaces.
Sterilization Unit
Every instrument we use is made of stainless steel that is put through a high-definition sterilization unit to remove debris, blood, saliva, and bacteria. They are then sealed in medical-grade packaging and kept covered until use.
Air Purifiers
Air purifiers can be found in each of our operating suites, the reception lounge, and the departure area.
Concierge Services
Some people feel that going to the dentist is an uncomfortable, intimidating, and fearful experience. At Signature Smiles Studio, we want to change our patient’s perceptions about seeing the dentist by making each experience a positive, enlightening, and comfortable one. From Tempur-Pedic dental chairs to aromatherapy towelettes, our Decatur practice offers everything you need to have a relaxing treatment that leaves you feeling even better than when you came in.
Additionally, we offer stimulants to cater to all of your senses, including:
- You are welcome to bring headphones to help cancel out disturbing sounds
- Soft blankets are offered to keep you warm and comfortable
- Dark glasses may be worn to calm your visual senses, encouraging rest and ease
- Lip balm can be applied to soothe and hydrate your lips
- At the end of each visit, warm towelettes with aromatherapy are used to calm your mind and senses before you resume your day
